3050ci waste toner

Hi All

Can a waste toner box be reused on a 3050ci?

Customer has emptied it themselves but now the machine says check waste box and I cant seem to find any reasons why.

Going back in the morning to play again, any help gratefully received.

There is a sensor that looks at the neck of the bottle. It must be clean. We have re-used them, but we wash them out in our shop.

My intention is to vac the machine out fully in the morning as its in a bit of a state, ran out of time this afternoon.
It never ceases to amaze me, customers push and push for immediate arrival and when you get there they won't wait after 5:30!

I'll give it a good dose of looking at in the morning.

Best of the throat to remove the waste container, wash with water and dry. Toner spill out.

Especially it's throat. It can be removed for cleaning.

Thanks all, was sorted within 5 minutes, stripped the collar off the neck and washed it out all very good!

ive ordered a transfer unit as the copies were poor but I'm glad that's solved!

I always tear out the little catch pockets and clean the neck of the bottle.
