Kyocera KM-3050, Copystar CS-3050 Platten cover reattachment

I have a Copystar CS-3050 (same as Kyocera KM-3050) and the white platten cover on the document feeder came down since the glue/tape on the felt pieces that hold the velcro (4) came off the top of the feeder. Anyone know how to reattach the felt pieces or get replacement felt pieces so that I can reattach the white ABS platten cover to the top of the document feeder? Thank you.

    parts manual is our friend.

if you dont have Kyocera access, I'd suggest finding some velcro tapes as a substitute. Clean the surface first!

I just use good heavy duty velcro strips. Available at most craft stores.

Since the original velcro sites are recessed, I put the new velcro just off to the side of the recessed area.

Thank you , that will work better than trying to reglue the felt back in place.

I use Velcro, I carry some for this very reason. I put two sets in each corner to make up for the recess on the doc feeder.

heavy duty Velcro works the best for me.
I like to use those that used to come with surge protectors. I kept bunches of those and they have the best stickiness of any Velcro I have ever used.

I have found that 3M Adhesive Remover in the black can works great for removing that old glue residue.
