I received a call from a customer for intermittent blank pages after a drum install. I thought maybe the contacts needed cleaning or possibly not making contact. I went out there cleaned all the contacts and made sure they were not arcing. I noticed when the MFP prints out blank pages it makes a noise on the bottom right twords the back as it prints out the blank pages. This issue did not happen until they installed the new drum unit. Could this issue be a defective drum unit? Or could it be something in the drive section?

No sticky feed clutch, its only feeding the requested amount of paper per job and no extras. The more I thought about it, I'm thinking it may be the drum unit. I asked the customer if they saved the old one but, no go. I'm going to see if they can get a replacement warranty, if not I can supply it to them. Maybe I'm over analyzing the obvious and it's just a defective drum cartridge. I'll will post the resolution.Comment

I had the customer dig for the old drum unit to try to run some pages on it and see if the issue still occurs, sure enough, once the old drum was installed, no issues; apparently, the drum unit was defective. Thanks for the responses.Comment
