I just use a standard feeler gauge tool I got at a Hardware store.

I use to repar the 320 many years ago. can't' recall using anything to gap the head, but a feeler guage should work fine.


The adjusting screw,which is connected to the adjusting gear rotates when the adjusting lever
is moved creating a fine gap adjustment. If the adjusting gear is pushed down, the adjusting
screw can be turned with a screw driver to change the coarse gap adjustment.

The adjusting screw is on top of the adjusting gear according to the manitenance manual. so push down on the gear first and then turn the adjusting screw is what i gather here.
