    OKI Pro900dp

This printer is stuck in "Initializing". Won't come out until it has done this over and over and over. Then it will have so much blue toner jammed in the toner waste, that it gives a replace toner waste bottle message.
Then we empty out the toner waste and unjam the toner waste tubes, that are now packed full of blue toner, jamming up the gears that turn the toners waste tube augers. After that is all cleared out and the toner waste message
is gone, it goes into the "Initializing" message and/or please wait, Initializing. And it again starts with the blue toner filling up the tubes again. It never comes out of Initializing. We did have a HVU board, but no good for this problem.
Please, somebody tell me you know what will fix this problem.

This might be a bunch of baloney, as the only Oki I ever worked on was probably the very first fax machine I ever saw, but it sounds a little like the sensors that cause the machine to attain the proper color balance during the intermediate transfer stage might be dirty or malfunctioning. It might be productive to find out where those are and clean them.
On a way less likely note, you may have got a bad cyan toner unit. Just for grins you might try changing that.
Sorry if this is a waste of time.

Try removing the LED head shields. They just pop out by hand just make sure not to drop the spring inside the machine. There is a white gear that cracks inside the top half of the clamshell and the shields don't retract from the LED heads when you close the clamshell. I have had this cause both blank pages and full bleed colour prints as well as over loading the waste toner system.

OK So I removed the shields on each of the LED units, but did not help. I'm thinking, maybe a board, but don't know which one it would be. Already replaced the HVU.
Customer is considering replacing the machine, but I won't be in on that sale.
Need help to repair this problem!
