How long will parts typically last beyond their rated life?

There are a few parts on my printer that need replacing (transfer belt cleaner) and will need to be replaced soon (2nd bias transfer roller). (this is a xerox document centre c240.)

Considering I bought the machine for home use for minimal $, I am not too interested in replacing these, as the print quality is fine

Both parts were replaced about 95k pages ago so I am assuming I will be able to do at least another 20,000 or so before the quality starts to degrade? Or am I thinking along the wrong lines?

While I do have a Xerox copier, I am interested in how long parts will last beyond their rated life in copiers in general, not just my copier
