I recently got a second hand OKI C830. It was password protected, so I accessed the service menu and wiped both ROM and Flash in attempt to clear the password. Only later I found out that wiping the flash also erases the NIC firmware in the device, removing all networking capabilities until the firmware is flashed back.
I got access to the MuWin utility, which allows me to upload the firmware, while also confirming that it really is gone from the device at the moment. The problem is that I cannot find these firmware files, no matter how hard I try. No help from OKI support, or various OKI service centers in my area. They all claim the printer is too old and the firmware files are gone.
I do not know the exact names of the required files, but the service manual mentions NIC F/W 44161001FY03, with F/W version 01.01 and web page version W1.01. The board should be PX746PDL. The file naming scheme should be something like "PJL_734_NIC005_p0406_w0405.bin" (a different firmware that I actually found, but unfortunately not for my printer).
Would there be someone who has access to these and would be gracious enough to provide them? Thanks a lot.
