    OKI MC873 broken sensor

    Hi everyone,

Could someone please help me confirm if this is the correct part to replace? It's the drawer paper presence sensor – the one that detects whether there's paper in the tray or not.

Also, does anyone happen to have a procedure or some tips on how to replace it? I couldn’t find anything specific in the official OKI service manual – it seems to be missing or not covered in detail.

Thanks in advance for any help!

      Hi,

The actuator is included in this part.

Other solution is permanently on the paper detection sensor by fix wit tape, the catch will be paper jam instead of no paper.

Thank you both, the tape hack is exactly what i did, i will have a look into how to replace the whole thing, if it was my printer i would leave it with the sensor taped, but it is at big company and the costumer is kinda furius about anything that goes wrong with the tech.

        Thanks once more.
