Oki es3640 c9600 cu firmware

i look for the CU firmware for oki es3640 and c9600 someone can indicate to me where to find them?

this printer it has on the main card a rom that creed contains firmware is programmable or it must be replaced?

i find the firmware for phaser 7400 (same printer) but not for oki!

i look for the conversion of my c9600 in es3640 for use consumable es3640 less expensive!

the machine is the same one, changes only the firmware, but creed that is in the ROM A to with to the postscript.....

you can confirm it?

That's not possible. Sorry. You can not change a C9600 in an ES3640 just by changing a few parts or reload firmware.

why not? i'm read the parts manual (same of c9600 and es3640) and not there are differences in the parts unless for the ROM A!

The RFID-chips on the toners, and the drums are different and I think there are more differences than ordinary techs like us know about. It can not be that easy just to change a few parts.

the drums are the same only little mechanical difference...

however it is possible to upgrade the firmware from software?

I took a look on the Oki FTP-site but only found firmware for the "non-ES-series" (C9600/C9800/C9650/C9850).

I've found the PU-firmware (V3.00). The CU-firmware is on ROM-A. Don't know what OWF or HMY means.

the mainboard has also a flash rom of 16mb on board perhaps the firmware/setting is resident them.

Oki is (in Holland) normally very open when you ask for specific information, but some things are just too sensitive to release. When you know how to convert a normal machine into an ES-machine, they're in serious trouble.
