    OKI C5450 drum missing

    Hi everyone,

I've got a C5450 in for service that shows 'Error 341 - Magenta Drum Missing'. I've replaced the drum, and checked the obvious like lose cables, connectors etc but I can't see anything that would explain it. I've desperatly googled for a service manual, but the only one I can find says nothing else than 'Yes, this error exists'...

Does anyone have a real service manual for the 5400-series? Or better yet, does anyone know what the problem is?
    Peace sells, but who's buying?

      Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I did check it, where it connects to the left side board. The drum connectors have spring-like arms that connects the drum connectors to the board, and I cleaned those surfaces. Unfortunally I don't have the proper gear for measuring the components, but that could be one solution.

      Have you solved your problem?

            Great, thanks a lot!

I solved my problem yesterday too. I had another OKI printer, a C3200, that I could use for spare parts. I changed over the "drum connector card" (for lack of a better word), the card on the left side of the printer. That alone solved the problem, so obviously there's a damaged component there somewhere. I'll try and figure out which one it is and replace it.
