When I copy something it comes out with tiny lines top to bottom of page/margin to margin, 20 lines dark black then next are light black..then med black.. Once showed error code of EO3-40...pLEASE HELP..iM TECHNICALLY CHALLENGED....Gramma D

Sounds like your laser unit has a problem. Do you get the same symptom when running a internal print?

I don't have a clue what "internal printing" is . Or where the laser unit is located on machine..I really feel so stupid, but , I'll look in the operating manual I have. But is it fixable ??? By a regular person or has to be tech???

Here is the way you can run internal prints:

Go to advanced functions/ offline/ User preset/Printer Settings-go to page 2/2, then seledt 05 test menu-select test print/yes.

You shoud probably have tech take a look at your machine. The laser unit is not that hard to replace but you want to make sure that is actually the issue.
