hello, I have a customer that wants me to deinstall one of these machines because they are selling it. Wandering if someone might have a little insight about getting this beast apart and how many pieces does it break down to. Worked on Oce's 15 years ago but not this model. Thanks in advance.

Re: Oce varioprint 5115/5140/5160
Looks like a pretty old thread, and printer is maybe sold and demounted allready?
Anyway (this could be useful for others as well)..
Number of pieces to split depends on how much inputs and outputs etc. it is connected to the printer. A standard configuration consist of 3 parts: print unit (which is about 2 meter (6 feet) long), input and output (each about a meter (3 feet) long). No matter how many units connected to the printer, all of them are splittable.
To split them:
-Open all the back covers and front doors.
-Unscrew the "legs" of the print unit so it will be standing on it's wheels.
-Disconnect all cables and groundings going through each unit.
-Unscrew the big "thumbscrews" (2 per unit) on each side of the unit, then drag the parts carefully apart to not cut/drag off the cables which you may have not seen. Location of the screws on the input is about 30cm (~a foot) from the top of the unit, while the output it's located in the ~middle. The screws have a black thick ring around itself, and mainly looks like a normal screw when it's mounted.
Note! For transportation you probably want to turn a guide plate the opposite way so it wont bend in the transport (the plate you will discover when it's demounted, it shows outside the frame of the unit).
That's mainly it!
