[Jamming] Hp CM4730 - Jamming when Duplexing - Require technical bulletin?

    Hi,

I have recently been working on this model of machine for the past month or so.

I have found one problem within the Transfer unit of this machine which I feel should have some sort of modification bulletin for it. However I can't seem to find any information on the matter.

Symptom: Duplex LATE Jam. Paper stops on rear of Transfer unit passing 1 set of duplex feed rollers.

Cause: Gear within Transfer Unit which drives the rear paper path plate detatches from the shaft.

Resolution: For the time being I've been pushing the gear back along the shaft. However this isn't a permanent fix and I feel it should have some sort of clip on the end to hold the gear in place.

There's no additional shaft after the gear so this isn't possible. I was wondering if any other field/non-field Engineers have experienced this issue and if there's any kind of fix to prevent the problem from occuring again.

I can't post images at the moment but I will post some examples of what I'm seeing tonight. Just to give you a better idea of what the problem is.

    Thank you for your time.

I am responding due to the fact you sent me a notification on my profile and no one has answered this. I don't have any information regarding this issue and as of yet have not encountered it. I will let you know if and when I do. Usually the resolution for duplex issues is one of three parts. P/U Asm (where turn takes place), transfer belt, or fuser. Usually replacing one of the three resolves duplex issues.
