Intermec Easycoder 3600 problem(s)

This printer has a parallel inteface. When the client sends a prt job to it, the label feeds to the next one but it does not print on the label. They pulled the prt and put another one in its place, same model, and it feeds the labels and prints as well. So what can be wrong in the one I have in the shop?

Also, same model different printer, it will print a label then sometimes skips a label without printing and then may do 4-5 in a row before it skips again...Sometimes it will print a label then skip one then print one etc. before it will do one after another..hmmmm
