    [Jamming] IBM InfoPrint 1532

Customer has this machine and it does not like to pull paper from the tray.
I just replaced the feed tires and it worked till I got back to the shop (30 min).
I don't know much about this machine but from looking at a Lexmark manual, the only thing it says is the whole assy., that the the tires mount to.
Is there a different feed tire that I can use?
The tires do turn and it tries to move the paper but it just slips. This is at the Air Force Accademy and the need to run these certain type of labels in this machine.
Any help would sure be great.

    Thank you

Seen one of those once or twice, lexmark model tho, but i assume its the same thing, 2 tires on a moving arm that goes down to pull paper in.
It had 2 white rubber tires, i didnt even bothered ordering replacement because those tires plain suck, your gonna spend money on whole assembly and wont fix the problem... the tires seem to "dry up" and the rubber loses all its softness and grip, even when new it doesnt have much to begin with :/

The machine i saw was fairly new and was giving jams all the time... didnt really jam, simply didnt pull paper in, the arm would come down but tires would just skid on the paper...
This was quite a wile back... i recall i used a feed tire from a kyo copier , cutted it to make 2 smaller tires and it worked like a charm.
It fails pulling in even plain paper... you're saying labels... hum shinny... very polished... >.< aint gonna pull'em in for sure.
Honestly youre best bet is to go thru what you got, find a good pickup that has rougly same diameter, if its a tad bit bigger doesnt matter will work even better (just dont use a really thick one or it will get stuck on the frame when the arm goes up)

You could also tinker with the arm but i dont recommend it cuz if the arm puts too much pressure you'll have 10 sheets going in at once, the arm just touches the paper... the key is in the tires having a good grip to pull the sheet in.

Thanks hekotez, I will give that a try.
I have kyo, hp and ricoh tires so I will take an assortment.
You are right shinning and slick, but like all customers it has always worked (yea right).
        Thanks again.
