I have recently purchased a couple Okidata ES3640 printers to supplement my aging Xante Ilumina. The Oki's have been working great and I'm getting the hang of making the machine print as good as the Ilumina.
I've been using some fuses to jump the contacts on the drums to get it to reset the drum usage count on the Ilumina and believe that the fuse would be identical to what the ES3640 would need. Here's where I'm at a standstill. The machine is reporting that the Magenta drum needs to be replaced - New Image Drum Image Drum Life (Error code 561 via the help menu). First I tried using one of the fuses that work on the Ilumina and that changed nothing. Then I inserted a brand new drum unit and the machine is still reporting that the magenta drum needs replacing.
Any ideas?
