Riso HC5500 Powers on, shuts off

Trying to set this up to see if it will run, I've got the is700c connected, when I power the machine up the display shows "Please Wait" then after a few seconds it powers off. The sleep or any other button on the console does nothing.

It will power up and stay on if I were to force an error, like opening the front panel, but as soon as it's corrected, the machine shuts down.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: Not sure what I did to get it to stay on and display the error code, but it comes up with an S97-004.

This is what the service manual shows:
    24-VDC power supply voltage error
A voltage drop is detected when a voltage drop is sensed by the IP PCB based on the signal resulting from dividing the 24-VDC resistance inside the power supply unit. The detection level is approximately 11 VDC.
Voltage polling is conducted at 100-ms intervals by the IP-CPU. An error is detected when a voltage drop is sensed 10 times in succession (approx. 1 sec). No detection is performed when the interlock SW is open.

    I'm back to square one:

Checked all the fuses, replaced a blown fuse causing the error message. Now the machine fires up, the controller fires up, but the machine shuts down. No lights on the operator panel. Sleep, wake, etc... do nothing.

    Any ideas?

      Hello
Im affraid it sounds like it needs a new pwr supply
you could try disconnecting the rip and see if it powers down then ...if not it could be the rip taking the hc down ??
