    Olivetti 3001mf

Any Olivetti specialist. Have a Olivetti 3001mf. This machine cross references with a Kyocera Mita not sure what model.

Problem: Whether we print, copy or scan the last third of the page is solid black with ink. The first two thirds print fine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yeah, sounds like charge unit, also check the contact spring on the machine where the end of the charge unit connects to the machine. You can see this contact by pulling out the drum unit.

There was also 2 lines going across the top of the page? is this a drum unit issue?

Possibly, but replace or clean the corona unit first as this may also clear up the line problems as well. Also confirm the lines are coming from the image formation part of the machine by printing out an internal print (status/counter report).

Yeah looks like the corona unit alright, may have taken out the drum too with a build up of toner on the corona unit arcing onto the drum.Is the corona unit fully inserted in the machine,it can sometimes get knocked out of position by customers changing the waste toner bottle.I would bring the maintenance kit (mk670) with me if I were you.Swap the corona unit first, then drum/developer unit if needs be. By the way these machines do not like generic toner and will give no end of copy quality issues.hope this helps
