Hello all, new here and first post so be gentle
I have an olivetti d-color MF25 which, if the interweb is correct is very much the same as a konica C252?
Anyway for about 2 months its been moaning about needing the fuser replaced, which i ordered. I put off fitting it for as long as possible. Today my boss told me he needs to print an important letter and to sort the copier out because every time he prints in colour, he gets blue lines across the page (even if hes not printing blue!?, B&W prints are fine though).
So... in the interests of being able to afford a pint at the weekend I promptly acted upon my bosses instructions.
I started by replacing the fuser. I then removed all the imaging units (using a black bag so as to avoid light exposure), took them into a darkened room and blew off any excess toner I also gently dusted off any toner I could see.
I put everything back together and I wish I hadn't touched it now. The blue lines are still coming out on prints but worse, the toner does not seem to be properly fixed to areas of the page and after a number of prints the copier goes into "Call rep" mode reporting an error code of C-2552.
Now, if this printer is a rebranded C252 then that error code means that its detected excess cyan toner but I cant see why or where that toner is? I did read something about checking the T/C ratio in the service menu but I have no idea how to get into service mode. I tried the counter utility stop, 00, stop 01 methods but no joy.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I really would like to be able to afford that pint at the end of the week
