OKI C8600 Blank cyan & magenta

Printer produces black & yellow perfectly however no cyan or magenta at all.
Have swapped LED head over with black to prove they work, all o.k.
Have put cyan & magenta drums into black slot & both print fine.
Am now at a crossroads as OKI u.k suggest it could be either of the two logic boards on the right hand side of the machine or the power supply board on the left hand side.
Anybody had similar fault ? or an inkling as to which pwb to try first as we do not have any spares to try & will have to order in the part/parts required
    Any help appreciated

Hey,had a similar issue on an oki es8460/mc860 and it was the main board. If you follow the ribbon cables back from the led heads, this board would be the first culprit to try.

Sorry omitted from original post that customer has caused this fault by disconnecting the ribbon cable connector from one of the LED print heads and re-connecting it whilst the machine was switched on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

OKI now suggest HV board from left side which supplies the power to the drum units as they would expect a head missing or faulty error if it was main logic board.
Will advise of outcome if customer decides to go ahead with repair

Thanks dickierock customer decided to order all 3 boards that oki suggested it could be (they were a lot cheaper than i thought they would be) and i've been back today and fitted them.
        Oki said power supply WRONG
It was as you suggested, and I thought, the main logic PCB that the heads plug into ; despite oki technical saying it would code out if it was this board. So much for the supposed experts !

Hey dickie, no worries, , in my experience tech support lines are hit and miss, some are guys who have no field experience just reading info back to you from service manuals and databases of known problems.Others are superb with experienced techs who will know their stuff inside out.Ricoh and kyocera/utax are top notch at this.Oki fall down a bit for me on this as their support techs seem to have no field experience, however oki have a great 3 year on-site warranty on all their machines and will quickly send out their own engineer and take the problem off your hands if you have an unusual issue so I guess thats a big upside.Anyways im rambling! glad it worked out for you.
