I would certainly try a different type of paper first.
Get a different brand and open a fresh sealed packet of paper and try with that (To rule out damp paper) .
After that it has got to be a fuser issue .

It was printing single side fine yesterday, but now it's wrinkling on single side too.

To check fuser life go to reports and print number 5, User settings. At the bottom of one of the pages will be a series of oblong boxes giving the life remaining of the various consumables. N.B. the remaining life is the blacked in area.
Fuser life on most Brother machines is in the region of 80K
The fuser has 56% remaining and we've copied around 44K. I'll have to look up what twin wired paper is and try that. Thanks!

    Brother MFC-8680dn wrinkling problem

I have a problem with it wrinkling the paper after it sucks the sheet back in for duplex. I've checked the duplex tray, the back, and the front, but I can't find any obstructions. It also doesn't wrinkle EVERY sheet that comes out. Maybe 20% come out OK, but it's pretty random. It's not the paper since it was fine before. I've changed the drum but that hasn't helped.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
