OKI C-5650 error 980 problem

replaced fuser, worked for two weeks and now same error 980. I am a printer tech but never have I worked on these brands. I called support and they said there is no patch and I should take it in for service. I didnt tell her I was service. That was funny. Is there a common problem with these machines, should I clear NVRAM ? any firmware upgrades etc. ? Is it not shutting down the heater and blowing the thermal fuse etc.

If you replaced the Fusing Unit with a new one and it didn't work, next step is to replace the Power Supply. NEVER do a NVRAM Clear on these machines! I've seen people do this. You'll end up with replacing the Controller Board and Engine Board.
