Riso HC5500 (help needed)

Hello.
thanks for read my post

i just got a Riso HC5500
i turn on the machine and everything runs fine
until i got the message
not paper load paper in tray
w01-116
after put the paper on tray
i got the message , Please Wait a moment. and it takes for ever..
and ever, and it got stuck on that message,
i took the paper off and it ask for paper again, i put the paper and the same message come to screen
and got stuck again, i tried to power off and got stuck on the message "Shutting Down" and its takes for ever and i had to turn it off by myself.

i bought this machine without rip, and i put it a Is700C RIP
IDK if the rip may be the problem. does anybody has been in the same situation?
i `ll apreciate any help.
PD: im sorry for my english its not that good. :$
