I have a customer that is currently using a xerox phaser 7760 dn for plaemaking with polyester plates.
They use this printer because it has a high fusion but slow pass through.
They are looking to switch... the HP 5100 has high fusion and slow pass but poor resolution...
Here is what they are looking for...
a printer that can handle 11 by 17 and 12 by 18
resolution 1200 by 1200
600 LPI (greater than an 85 line screen)
compatible with polyestor plates
ds laser...
I have been told the older hp's were great at platemaking they just had low resolution.
Does anyone know of any make and model copier that can match these specs that can be adjusted for a slow pass basically for labels..
but is very very reliable... but if it breaks the parts are reasonable...
