Hi.
Several options:
1/Humidity in the room or in the paper.
We had that in the pass in one of our print shop using the 600 as a back up, this engine cook the toner by radiation, the humidity of the paper does not permit to the toner to fuse or to be transferred onto the paper. Classic.. change the media, try velum for example, try an other roll coming from box.
2/Change the transfer wires, maybe they are oxidized, If the copy is washed, maybe no transfer charge, the toner goes on the paper by contact, it's not pushed by the transfer to the drum.
3/Transfer is too low, punch it.
4/Main charge is just too high, grid contaminated.
5/Bad drum ground.(contact grease)
6/Toner too old.
8/Developer even new, can be defect from factory,
Horizontal? do they run to paper edge? if horizontal check ur corona charge assy there is a lip/tab that slides in the housing, on lf and rt side, at times when changing wires it gets bend damage and it will not got right in to guide
Check the the grid just under charge wire at times when cleaning they get strech out and when engine is copying the vibration will short out with Drum/opc and cause horizontal lines at times 2" inch wide + - Intermitently good luck

I thought you were joking about printhead in this machine, now i understand that you are serious, I'll tell you a little secret that is a laser 36" B/W plotter, laser machines have no print head. so Please do not embarrass yourself by saying you know this machine.
I am with leo on this one . Anyone who has seen an OCE plotter knows whats he is talking about...
Lol I'll take a picture next time I will sevice it, and I guess you and Leo will show me where is the print head there. Really want to see it. Just to be clear it's TDS 600.
