    Oki C5300 LED

    Hey Happy New Year!
Got an issue with one or more of the led light bars on a c5300.
I am pretty sure magenta is the bad boy but looking for your input on the proper way of testing each one.
Transfer belt has 44% left to go and looks fine, as do pcu's.
    Box has 200k on it.
    Thanks

LED Heads are interchangeable, so i would do a swap first to see if fault moves to a new colour...hope this helps.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

Thanks, swapped out with black, printed same color pic in grayscale with same results.
Now I'm thinking I should have printed a new all black formatted doc.?

Post a scan of the image. That will make it easier to see what's wrong.

I asked customer to print a newly formatted black image and results were positive.
This was done after I had swapped out light bars. So I am 85% sure that the magenta light bar is bad boy.
By the way, back to my original question, is there a way of testing these light bars. Copiers have this type test simulation for their lamps etc. so I imagine there is some sort of sim.

There's no testing procedure to test the LED-Heads. If they fail you can get Fatal Error 131,132,133,134 (KYMC), which is a communication error between the LED-Heads and the engine board.

There are some LED-Head settings in the machine. You can access them using the Maintenance Utility. Those settings deal with correction data for each LED-Head, because each LED-Head is unique. I never used it. Replacing is easier.
