I have brother 7820dn that when you turn it on says "Paper Jam" and says to open the front door, remove the toner and clear the jam. But there is no paper in there. I can tell the gears are not engaging because the machine kind of just dies when initializing. Is this something like a jammed up gear drive? Any help greatly appreciated!

Re: Brother 7820dn "Paper Jam" error but no paper inside - are the drive gears jammed
This model requires a drum unit and the toner cartridge fits into it and then into the machine. It had been brought in for repair with the toner cartridge inside but not the drum (the toner appears to fit so it through me off that it needed the drum unit, plus the toner unit looks as if it has a drum inside). So once I figured that out the problem was resolved.
