    Oce CM-2510 low toner

I am a Sharp tech and not Oce tech, but the machine is a repackaged Sharp.

I have a Oce CM-2510 copier where it shows low toner for cyan and yellow. I checked the toner motor, cleaned the ATC sensor and cleaned the toner chutes. I have replaced the yellow toner, but the message does not clear.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Re: Oce CM-2510 low toner

I am not an Oce tech, and the last Sharp I worked on was analog. So please take this with a grain of salt.
Also, my suggestion is totally based on the warning being a low toner warning and not a replace toner warning. If there is actually a "Replace Toner" message, I apologize for wasting your bandwidth, and please stop reading after the end of this sentence as what follows will be a waste of time.

That being said, from what I've seen on the equipment that I work on is that a low toner warning is just there to make sure you have new toner staged for the machine in time before it runs out. As such, that warning usually doesn't reset until the toner containers in the machine are actually empty.
So you might try putting the old toner containers back in the machine and wait until they are empty. Then put the new toners in.
Or, unless there are other issues that you didn't list in your initial post, get some new toners and keep them in a proper storage area so that you can use them when the current toner containers in the machine are actually empty. As long as there are no other problems you can safely ignore the low toner warning until then. After that, use the low toner warning to make sure you have the toner on hand, but don't replace them until the machine stops printing.
    Hope that helps.

This isn't the first trip. It started with just yellow. She replaced the yellow and stayed at low toner. I wrote it off and just cleaned the normal toner related parts. I told her that it was something with the crum chip and would most likely reset itself at the next toner install. She has since finished that toner and replaced the toner again with a new one. The message still appears. I'm treating it more of an annoying problem than a critical problem.
