[Error Code] HP DJ 1050C Plus Check Cleaner Path and 070100-00AD027C

So, I've got ANOTHER DesignJet with the Check Cleaner Path and then this other code of 070100-00AD027C comes up. Last time I had this Check Cleaner Path issue on this machine I replaced the belt the problem went away. I ran the diagnostics and got "possible hard disk failure" soo... not sure if putting the I/O HDD in would be a fix but could use some guidance on this. Thanks in advance.

Switch the printer off and remove the hard disk drive and the EIO card.
If you repower on and get same error with HDD and EIO card disconnected then Main PCA.
If the error code go's then reconnect eio card and try power on again and same for HDD if error still dosn't come back so as to work out which one is causing the error. This error can also happen if you have one of those god awful multi roll feeders attached. please tell me it does not have a multi roll feeder.

    Regards

Thanks Itanic. It doesn't have a multi roll feeder. Where is the hdd located? I got the I/O HDD then realized that there was only the nic card back there... Oops!

The rear cover on them is just clipped on you can use a flat blade driver to pop the lower ones or you can usually pop them with your fingers. There are also two small plastic covers either side of the main back cover that are T20 screws i think, take them off first.
Make sure the mains lead is removed as when you release the rear cover the PSU is exposed. The HDD is sat in a black Foam casing, you'll find it easy once youve popped the back cover off.
