    Panasonic DP-C213 "STR Replacement" message

I noticed that on this PM cycle the STR unit and the cleaner unit get replaced. Does the whole assembly on each get replaced or components of each assembly? The whole assembly for each unit would be about $1000 ($674 + $324) to customer. I have part #s as PJZEF2176PU + PJZEF2172PU1.
Any information you can give is appreciated including supplier though I have one or two in mind.
Also what would happen if I did the F8-32 counter reset before actually changing units so as to avoid machine being disabled while pricing and waiting for parts. Frank/Actionphotocopy

RE Panasonic DP-C213 "STR Replacement" message

If you by the 120k pm kit its around $500, in it you get the STR roller, cleaning blade and fuser belt assembly, I find theSTR counter goes of first (60-70 k )then the fuser counter then pm counter, this is what I do. I reset the counter for STR and fuser belt and this will give you a extra 40k on the STR and fuser belt and I find the machine works just fine this way, order the kit then when the 120 k pm light goes off install the kit and reset all 3 counters again. if the customer calls for any problems befor the 120k pm install the kit. problems that will happen if you let the fuser go to long is squeeking in the fuser and creasing the paper and with the STR you will get weird marks on your page, after you change the STR and fuser keep them. If they were working fine as these part can be used again if you need a temporary fix for another m/c I.E. a fuser craps out on you
also the cleaning assembly works just fine to get you to the 120k mark

    HOPE THIS HELPS
    SS
PS in the 240 k kit you get the whole fuser assembly, not just the fuser belt assembly also in this kit yoy get 4 1st TR rollers and the transfer belt and this runs you $1,000

I would just reset the counter. First, you can do a visual check on the STR itself, to make sure it has no visible damage to it, then reset the counter. I will also reset the fuser belt and fuser unit counter at the same time. I have machines out there that the STR been running over 240k.

You can also check the firmware for the machine. With the older firmware, those counter is lower and the warning light comes on like 50k before it needs to be replaced. The new firmware fixed that.

      The latest firmware is :

      SC - V30009
      SPC- V20002
      SCN- V10005
