Panasonic kvs5055c not scanning

Machine is connected via usb

Initially, it powers on... you hear clicks... it tries to ready itself but it did not calibrate
it gave a f63-53000000 error -- backside black level error
I used the utility and calibrated it... ran blank white paper through it and performed calibration.
machine came to ready...
rebooted it twice...
machine came to ready
attempted to scan with image capture plus
got error short of light within regular temperature
lamp may be broken code 20048001

my ideas...
I may need to calibrate with something else other than a white sheet of paper
this software package only goes up to vista so there may be issues with package compatibility

but checking in with anyone here to see if they faced this issue...
and what you guys recommend
any help is appreciated...

Here is my resolution
For the panasonic scanners
The error code f63-53000000
Means that the scanner lamps cant calibrate...
2 possibilites


Option 1
the scan lamps are really going bad and need replacing ... very expensive
Light unit back part number pjwj0d360m
Light unit front part number pjwj0d361m


Option 2
The white rollers in each machine need replacing and the shading needs calibration...
Cheaper option and a lot more likely...
(If this option does not work then its option 1)
