Panasonic DP C213 Transfer Belt

Panasonic C213 has a message that transfer belt needs replacemnet. I replaced this belt once a long time ago on this copier. My question is, will the machine eventually shut down if the transer belt is not replaced? I don't think it will be easy to find parts for this machine. I see in the service manual how to reset the count, but I could not find where it said the machine would stop working. I am thinking this would be a good opportunity to sell them a new machine.

It's been awhile, but if my memory is correct, the machine will allow one xfer belt reset, after the second reset, the machine will shut down, there is another counter in F8 to reset the Xfer unit which will allow it to copy again.
