Panasonic DP2000 - Will not come out of self test.

After turning on the machine, the display shows "Self testing" and it never comes out of self test. Customer noted that the Self Test has gotten progressively longer over the past couple of months.
I checked the fuser, and it does come on, and shuts off when the correct temperature is reached. There are no error codes yet.
Whenever any key on the operation panel is pressed, the machine seems to shut off for a coupls of seconds, then turns back on, and displays "Self Testing"
I tried to get into simulation mode, but it would not let me in... unless I am pressing the wrong keys?
    Any ideas? Main Board?
    Thanks,
    -Gary

tbh this machine is not Panasonic's proudest achievement but I've not had many Board faults on this range of copier, its possible it could be a H.V leakage, or firmware, if it was fuser related the machine would come up with E4-01,

is there any abnormal or drive noises i.e toner rotation when its self testing does the machine test the scan lamp?

what u mean the machine never comes out of self test but the customer says its staying longer in self test

The machine does cycle for about 15 to 20 seconds, and it does sound normal.

What I mean is that, in the past couple of months, my customer has noticed that the machine has been indicating "Self Testing" for maybe 10 minutes, then it would taks about 15 minutes a couple of days later, then a few days after that it would take about 25 minutes to come to ready. Now, the machine never comes to "Ready" - it always stays in "Self Testing" mode now, which is why they called me.

Another technician mentiond the DC Controller or the DC Power Supply? I have not been able to locate one yet, though.

best thing that could've happened to that machine now you have a good excuse to sell them a new one, really that copier will give you more headaches than what it's worth. After you fix that problem I promise you you will have another. If this is a pay per call then have fun, DO NOT PUT THIS COPIER ON A SERVICE CONTRACT!!!!!
