workio 3030 jam problem

Hi guys, im having some problems with a 3030 jamming on me, it sounds like a no brainer really but its a bit weird, basically its jamming from tray 2 on letterheads only, letterheads have always worked fine from that tray for 2 years, letterheads work fine from all other cassettes, paper not been changed, its probably about 90 gsm, not glossy or shiny, normal 80gsm works perfect from that cassette. When it jams it is normally just under the registration senser or sometimes half in the fuser, the image is half missing off the page randomly. I have changed the clutches, feed tires, bearing on feed shaft, feed spring, I have even swapped the whole second cassette to no avail, just wanted to put it out there really, am I missing something?? already spent a good few hours on this, swapping mc over tomorrow with a loan.

Any help or ideas would really be appreciated.

I would check that the photo sensor for the bottom registration sensor isn't bad. Does this happen on every page no matter where the page is fed from? Because to me it sounds like a timing issue / sensor issue. And also make sure that the paper drawer is correctly set in the machine. I know it sounds kinda remedial but I've had this problem where customers start pushing buttons then call me freaking out cuz the machine constantly jams and the paper drawer settings is usually 75% of the problem. Also is the paper binding entering the fuser? You might want to check the entrance guide to see if there is anything in the path. And see if the fuser rollers are rolling. You can check the sensors in Service Mode F4 so you dont go out and prematurely buy sensors you don't need. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi, thanks very much for the reply, all help is appreciated. This fault only occurs from tray 2 on letterheaded stock, the mc has 4 cassettes, the others work fine, even with the letter heads in them, it looks just like the feed tires are slipping because the image is missing off the page, but its just strange how it has worked fine for a long time, but now all of a sudden wont work. Thanks again, I will double check everything you have suggested.
