prints good, but when you make a copy the pages come out solid black.i changed the ccd module assy with no changes. any idea what this problem could be and if you have a part number.

Try taking the scanner unit apart, on the rail you will notice its lubed but the lube gets sticky. I had this problem a few months back. Take the rail completely out and clean it with belt cleaner or rubbing alcohol, also make sure you clean out the brackets that the fits into on the scanner unit. Relube the assym with a bit of TriFlo and you will not have the problem anymore.
