305 noise

I have a C305 with a noise that resembles a worn separation roller making a rubbing noise. any ideas? not the scanner mod that is in the techpubs. I have replaced the rollers and noise is still present, and only coming from tray 2.
Any help appreciated!

You could switch the all pickup assembly from tray 2 to tray one to isolate the problem. (maybe a defective clutch). Th.
