    Panasonic Workio 1820 PM reset

Reset procedure for PM in Intravia's does not seem to work properly. It says to go to F5 mode then 70 for PM Cycle. then is says touch pm cycle you want then touch OK. The problem is there is no OK button and no touch screen either. Does someone know how to reset the PM count on this? (Yes, I did the PM).
    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

Depends on what you PM'd (60k or 120k). F5-70 is the PM cycle, which should be at 120k. You want F8-??. F8-09 for developer, F8-14 for drum. Check section 3.8 in the manual for CQ Adj Procedure.

I did the 120k PM, drum and developer. I just want to turn off the PM message and red light.

Default setting of DP-1820 is 120K.

I don't have the service manual in front of me right now, but I believe F7-02 is the one you want to reset. Just set it to 0 and the light will turn off once you exit out of the service mode. I'll double check that number tomorrow, but you can also check to make sure I'm right by going into F9-03 and printing out the counter info (02) which will show you which one is the PM count.

That ended up being longer than I thought it would. I hope it helps.

If you go into F9, print device info, then go to print counter info, it will print out the different settings in F7 mode. To turn off the PM count, just set it to 0.

If you print out your F5/F6 parameters in F9, you can also turn the PM indicator off completely if desired, although it is a good idea to replace the drum (60k) and Dev and charge wire (120k) on their proper intervals, you might buy another 10k or so by turning the PM off (it will be an F5 setting, somewhere in the 70's, not sure, there may be more then one).

I'm wrong. It's F7-03 that you want to reset.
