Panasonic DP8020e scan to file

I have a client that wants to scan to file from their DP8020e. When I press the scan button the display shows " option not installed see your dealer" something like that anyway.
Can't seem to find how to enable it in the service manual.
Can anyone help ?

There's an option circuit board that must be installed. I HATE that model, it's such a pile of CRAP!

Yes, Pretty sure you need a scan key and then comms utility.

Is that the small enabler pcb.
The unit already has a network and fax card. I thought that was it
