If you can make copies from bypass, then your tray #1 paper lift motor casings need to be replaced. Otherwise, you probably have a E04-01 error: fuser temp error. You got to get to F8-06 mode and check the errors there.If you have E04-01 error, you need to fix the problem and clear the error with F9, ram initialize, lbp fuser reset.

Re: problems at DP-8016P
I agree with onetek, I don't know from what you have typed or not if you tried to do an LBP fuser reset or not, but that is the first thing I would do. There are lots of functions that get locked out without the true error being shown. The LBP fuser reset is the easiest and most likely cause of a paper lift error. The only trays that I have seen paper lift motors fail are legal and ledger, or the large size papers, if they are using the tray for letter or approximate, I don't think the lift motor would break unless the rear guide was broken, which might allow the paper to slide backwards, causing the motor to overdrive. If you run your LBP fuser reset, once you reset the power, you should hear the paper lift motor begin turning, if it errors out after that, you should replace the whole motor assembly, or inspect the inside and order the plastic that has cracked.
There is one more possible cause I can think of, there is a paper present sensor/actuator that should hang down somewhere near the feed rollers. I have seen these break on rare occaisions. I can't say I've had to replace on one of these models, but on a 2330 it's a real pain.
Another thing that just occurred to me. The bypass tray actuator could have popped out of it's holder. If that is the case, the copier will always default to the bypass tray, and never see that the paper is present. After you remove the side door the bypass should come off relatively easy. Check the actuator on the bypass to make sure it is properly in place.
I hope this helps, Good Luck.Comment

Re: problems at DP-8016P
Firmware usually doesn't fix common problems. You did not READ and LQQK at the posts given to you.
Firmware only fixes Samsungs. Not real machines. Panasonic DP series rarely require or even HAVE updated firmware. PLus, you should not update firmware except as a last resort. GOOD LUCK getting anythying Panasonic. Gotta be a dealer for special stuff like that, bub. And there are no more dealers just distributors (hint, hint)
PS: not to be mean but get a better translation program. Or have your kid type for you.Comment

F9 --> 06 --> 04
Try this Zaza! It's the LBP Fuser reset procedure.
I know it's been said before but I figure maybe if I make the letters really big and make it as simple as possible, he'll understand.Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
