    DP-8060 J-31 when printing...

I have an 8060, I can run it as a copier, I can select staple, hole punch, and duplex, and run the hell out of it in copy mode without a jam, but when the customer sends the same type of job from his printer, it jams the first page out. He says he has all the latest drivers installed, but it has not helped. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Are they pulling from same tray? Reinstall print driver and check firmware... Just some ideas.

Does this machine have an LCT on it? Are the paper trays listed by size in the print driver or do they all say 'unspecified' ? As previously suggested, you can reinstall the print drivers. I would hook my laptop to the machine and try to print from there...any difference?

No LCT on this machine, both jobs are being processed from tray 1. I guess I am stuck as a shop tech for the rest of this week, (hopefully that's it), but I will try printing from the laptop next chance I get. Thanks for the replies, I will try to let you know how it goes after I get a chance to go back there.

mojorolla, are you a Browns fan?

Just an offshoot question: What program is the customer printing from, and is the output paper size the same as the OG paper size?

Reason I ask is that I've seen a few instances in which the customer would print a .pdf file just as they normally would, but for some reason the .pdf was formatted in a weird size of paper, so the copier would jam every time. I don't know if that's the issue or not. Just a suggestion.

It may be a tray setting, but I'm pretty sure I remember having them select tray 1. I know they sent one of our other techs there to try printing with his laptop Friday, but I haven't gotten the opportunity to speak with him yet.

I should be able to get more info tomorrow.
