    DP 4520 possesed?

Hey everyone. I have a possesed machine. I only saw this once and resetting the machine off/on worked. They said it happens from time to time, so I thought I would research it a bit. The symptom is the op panel will go out, you will hear several clicks like a relay chatting, maybe 3 or 4 clicks. If this happens during a run, of course it jams. I saw it happen one time while I was there. Not during a run but at ready state. I know about the bulletin attached. I'm thinking interlock switches/sensors on the 5 volt line? The machine shows no code of any kind. The customer wants me to come take a look Monday. They were running church bulletins the day I went, but it ran fine while I was there and they had to leave. Any help or ideas would be great.

No code. Just lcd display goes dead and there is a clicking niose, maybe 3 to 4 clicks, like a relay. Sounds like the relay is near the front of the machine. I saw this one time when the machine was not in use. I'm thinking interlocks. The call came in when they were running church bulletins. They had a few jam codes J83 and J81. I think this is due to paper curl. 8.5x14 duplexed for the bulletin. Alot of curl. I am going there this morning to see if I can recreate the problem. They were ready to go once they completed the bulletins, which Ran just fine while I was there. THANK YOU for responding!!!

It was the on/off switch on the front of the machine. While on, if you pushed the switch, it would loose op panel and click (relay?). Then go back to ready state. I replaced the switch and all is good. I opened the bad switch and the contact lever was bent. I quess the thought was press harder when turning on the machine and it will warm up faster? Go figure.

          Thanks.
