    DP 2310

I have a used 2310 that was working just fine until I touched it. I took off covers, cleaned optics, disassembled pcu and cleaned, disassembled fuser unit and cleaned, cleaned feed rollers, removed duplex assy. and cleaned. Reassembled and now I have a problem. The symptom is> power on switch in the back and you hear the power supply click and power on. Then when you turn on switch up front, in a few seconds, you can see image on screen, then click, nothing. Machine dies. The fuser lamps are coming on when you turn on the back switch. I have retraced my steps and found nothing. The red led on the SPC goes out when the machine dies. Nothing on op panel. Anyone seen a symptom like this?

Keep main power on and hold down FUNCTION and CLEAR keys; power on sub power. Keep holding and machine should go directly into service mode. If it does not enter service mode, you could have a bad SC board. Any lights on the SC board lit at power up? Optional HDD installed?

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Did not go into svc mode. At power up, both the SC and SPC led light up. As soon as the fuser lamps come on you hear a click and machine dies. At this time the led on the SPC goes out but the one on the SC stays on. I noticed one of the thermistors did not look so good. Teflon on hot roller worn off where it touches hot roller. Any way to bypass this to see if it is causing a problem? I unplugged the two connectors that go from fuser to the recepticles on rear frame. Made no diffrence. There is no HDD.

UPDATE >>>> I found the problem. Connector CN222 on the PNL1 (op panel) was unplugged and hidden. This is the connection from the switch in the front of the machine.
