never heard of a DP-3035, there is a DP-3030 or maybe a DP-8035. either way there are some HDD format options. from copy mode, pres Function, general settings, key op mode (password default is 8 zeros), then scroll down the list (it is different #' on different models). There is like a check or test function and a second choice on the list that will allow various degrees of overwriting.
if you believe what you see on TV, if someone wants data off a hard drive bad enough, a hole or half melted will not stop them. you need to melt it down to a pile of molten plastic. thats what i have done with every PC i have trashed or donated.
Wow that's great info to have, is it also valid on the DP-8060 machines? Thanks for sharing and have a great day

8060 is part of the 8035 family so yes it will be the same. so will most of the color machines Panasonic no longer makes. the exact # in the general settings list may vary.
Waylon thank you very much! Our clients are going to be very happy, we feared that they would have to pay for new Hard Drives and software install to secure their data. Have a great day
