    Panasonic vs. Canon Finisher

I have a finisher from a Canon IR6000 that looks identical to the Panasonic DA-FS600 finisher. The plug on the Canon is not the same as the Canon. Just wondering if anyone has substituted the Canon for the Panasonic. Of course I would need to change the harness going from the finisher to the copier, which I have. Wanted to check to see if it has been done instead of trying it and maybe blowing a board.

I would think the differences in firmware would make this impossible. Please let us know how it works out.

The mechanics would be the same but you would have to swap over boards.

You would also need pn 4G1-5215-000 IPC I/F Board, the interface board for the pana.

Tried to make a Canasonic finisher... it didn't work.

              (Switched the cords. No success.)
