    DP-8035 with FS-330 Finisher

    Hi guys and happy Friday.
    I have an 8035 with a 330 finisher.
When they print to the top tray, no problem.
But when they go to staple they get a J62.
Say you make a set of three prints stapled.
The first goes to the stack just fine, the second one always hangs up at the jam clearance gate just before the inverting rollers and gives the J62. Always the second and never the first.
I have the finisher in the shop now and every input code reacts as you would expect.
    Has anyone seen this one?

Move the finisher away from the engine and open the bottom finisher door where the stapler is. On the door itself is the paper pass sensor. I have seen this pop out dozens of times.
The only other known issue I can think of is the one way clutch that often goes bad. Reference #15314. This will usually make an awful noise when it starts to fail.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Thanks Mojo. I am in front of the finisher now and the Paper Pass sensor is mounted to the interstage stack opposite the stapler. The only thing on the door is the stapler itself. I don't think it is the clutch. No noise and everything works just fine until the page drops into the stack. I ran my F4's again and everything fires just as expected. I am thinking that the paper feed sensor might be flaky. The effect I see is imagine a sensor with a spring loaded actuator. Imagine the spring is weak and after the first sheet passes by, the actuator is slow to return, and then the second sheet stalls. I know it is a long shot since that sensor responds just fine when sending to the top tray. Maybe there is something happening with that sensor when it couples to the function of sending the paper down to the stack.
      Just me grasping at straws.

J62 can be caused if the punch alignment is too far to the rear or the front, 2 screws at the bottom of finisher on exit side can be loosened to move entire finisher to rear or front as needed, what is happening is the paper being stacked for stapling is not making up the alignment sensor inside. try this.
