    DP-C354 Color Registration

    Hi Guys,
This is a good one. I have a C354 that is having color registration problems like I have never seen.
It appears to only concern blue. If you had the word "text" printed in blue, the primaries are about 2 pixels apart so what you see is the magenta and cyan components of the word.
In F8 I ran the color registration function. No change.
Now here is the thing that is really weird. The problem only occurs toward the front of the machine. Imagine you are standing in front of the machine. The bottom edge closest to you will have the greatest displacement and as you move toward the rear of the machine, the defect gradually goes away by the time you have gone a third of the way up. In essence, it is the bottom third of the page.
I have swapped out the transfer belt assembly from one of our machines in the shop and reseated all of the drum units.
One of our guys thinks he saw this along time ago but is not sure what they did.
    All suggestions gratefully appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Doug

Your drums are not aligned. Under the drum and DV units is a screw, one for each color. There is a procedure for it in the service manual.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Thanks Mojo but for the life of me I do not see that adjustment. I am using Version 2.2 documentation. I think this is the latest and greatest. I have looked through the adjustments section with no success. Where in the manual is the procedure you are talking about? Thanks, Doug.

Look on page 202. I think this is it.

Thanks Copiman. I blew right past this because it says it is a skew adjustment. Figures that I also appear to need a special tool :-D
