    2330 J51

I have a 2330 that copies 1st side, enters the transport unit, then jams when it tries to come out. Its like it is hitting something as it tries to enter the inverter on top of fuser. The code is J51. The paper can be removed from the internal tray side. It is rolled up. Does not happen all the time. Swapped fuser. No change. Anyone see this before?

There's a good chance that the support of the saft for the transport unit gate, close to the solenoid ,is worn. If it is ,the gate is gonna bounce and not move enough, causing jams.Take off the transport unit and you'll see what I mean. I usually macgyver it with a tie wrap.

Transport Unit.pdfThanks onetek. The gate does bounce. I took a different transport unit out there and swapped it. Customer is good to go. I will fix the bad one in the shop. I attached a copy from the parts book with an arrow to the slot I think you are talking about. Let me know if I'm on track. Thanks again.
