[Misc] "Automatic Duplex Unit Not Installed"

I have been working on a duplex jamming issue on a Panasonic Workio DP-3030. I am now getting a message that says "Automatic Duplex Unit Not Installed", whenever I attempt to make a duplex copy. I am able to make duplex test prints via the service mode. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at F5-26 and see if it is set to auto.

F5-26 was set to AUTO, changed to off, rebooted machine. Turned back to AUTO, and rebooted machine again. Still getting "automatic duplex unit not installed" message. It looks like the ADU conncects directly to the Main PC Board, is it possible this board has gone bad?? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should check the actual duplex unit (Transport Unit) the one right under the scanner. Check for loose connection there. You have to take out the fuser unit and the left side cover before you can check out this unit.

You might want to check the wire harnesses from the duplex unit to the connections in the rear of the copier. I have had these connected and working, then all of a sudden I had duplex issues and found one connection not quite seatied properly. If you had the duplex unit removed from the copier, and it was recognized before you removed it, i bet its the connection. Hope this helps. If you find the solution, let us know. Never saw that indication before.
