    DP-C322 Drum Reset and Missing Yellow Help

    OK so we have a customer with a KM machine I service. They asked me to look at a Panasonic DP-C322. It was running fine except that there was no yellow being printed. After checking the ID sensors and all the simple stuff I pulled the drums and noticed that the developer brush on the Yellow DV unit was not yellow...mostly black like there was no yellow toner. Is this most likely a toner feeding issue or DV unit problem. I am used to machines that would throw a code if the toner concentration was not where it should be.
    Also while working on it I noticed that the Black Drum life warning was on. So today they call and say the machine has shut down and the black drum unit they had was used at one time to diagnose a black printing issue so since it was installed temporarily before it will not reset the counter. Is there a way via service mode or otherwise to get it running?

      Panasonic yellow is odd, it is the color of spicy mustard. Service mode F1 18-21 will print CMYK printouts individually.
      Service mode F8-25 will reset the drum but will also start to leach your developer so don't wait forever to get a new drum. DV change on this model is not that fun.

          The reset worked so thanks! Dont know yet if they want to spend the money to try and fix the no yellow print....we will see.

              I had a similar issue and fell into that black trap. The dev particles are dark but covered in their respective toner they become yellow or whatever until you manually brush the toner off them and see the darker particles. What do your autotone yellow samples look like? I had a yellow toner motor issue where I had to lookup the toner motor outputs in f4 (there are two motors for each color) and manually run to tone up yellow. recal yellow developer after filling the yellow pipe with toner. If customer stores toner tubes on ends then compaction can lock up dispensing. Shake them well and store them flat. Been running great ever since without toner motor repl.
