I have been burdened by my boss to fix his copy machine at our small pizza shop. It is a panasonic dp3530 and up until a week ago it was setup to print via a TCP/ip connection. One day when i came in the printer would no longer obtain an IP address from the router. Not being able to route correctly i cannot even set the IP at the printer to work ( i can change it in key operator mode but even with settings changed manually it will not work as the router behaves like it isn't there). I have tested the cables. The ports on the router and had a look at the board on the printer to see if perhaps someone tripped over a cord and deseated the jack from the PCB but no dice. no error codes no obvious signs of breakage and im all out of ideas on what the problem could be. Is there anything i could be missing?

Re: Dp-3530 Network issues
In order for the machine to pick up an IP address within the scheme of your network you will have to manually input it in or allow the machine to obtaining it by enabling DHCP in the general settings tab. The same one you used to input the IP address. Then turn DHCP off. You said the cables and the router are all good and you manually input a valid IP address, subnet, gateway, and dns info? If this is correct, the only thing that is not working is the copier. In that case your nick has died. The nic is embedded on the SC PCB. Before going there, due to the high cost of the board, lets start from scratch.
Can you give some info for us to use in helping you? What is the ip address of the copier, router, and PC. Also is subnet, gateway, and DNS info the same for all? You mentioned it was working and then quit. So, all this info should be correct, as long as no changes were made, like new ISP, any computer or network service recently. If your address scheme information is correct for all equipment on the network, can you connect a laptop to directly to the copier and see if you can ping it? Maybe load the driver and try to print with it?
I say all this because I have not had a nic problem to date. Again lets look at the info requested and go from there.
